Hello and welcome! I’m Cassie Cartmell, founder of Faodail Creation and a proud Canadian Baby Lock Educator.
Since 2017, sewing, quilting, and embroidery have been my passion, and I love sharing what I’ve learned with others. My goal is to help beginners develop their sewing, quilting, and embroidery skills with confidence through fun, approachable, and easy-to-follow sewing and quilting tutorials.

My Sewing Journey : From Self-Taught to Baby Lock Educator
I began sewing in 2017 as a completely self-taught sewist. At first, it felt overwhelming. Patterns were confusing, sewing machines seemed complicated, and every project came with its own challenges. But through patience, persistence, and plenty of trial and error, I gradually learned how to turn my creative ideas into finished projects. Along the way, I discovered how valuable clear Sewing & Quilting Tutorials can be when learning new skills.
Over the years, I’ve explored a wide variety of fabrics, developed my skills with different Baby Lock machines, and experimented with sewing, quilting, and machine embroidery techniques. Becoming a Baby Lock Educator gave me the opportunity to share my knowledge and help others develop their own skills. I now create Sewing & Quilting Tutorials to help beginners understand techniques, build confidence, and enjoy learning at their own pace.
Today, I teach students across Canada and beyond, helping them understand their machines, discover new techniques, and gain the confidence to create beautiful handmade projects. What is a Baby Lock Educator?
As a Canadian Baby Lock Educator, I help sewing, quilting, and embroidery enthusiasts get more from their Baby Lock machines through training, demonstrations, and practical guidance. I also share Sewing & Quilting Tutorials to help makers develop their skills and get creative with their projects.
My teaching covers a range of skills, including:
